+/- 85% of our herbs grow on our own farms. The rest — herbs from Mexico, Costa Rica and Hawaii, produce and specialties from 5+ countries — are hand-picked from the world's best growing regions. Family-run since 1998.

Southern-hemisphere garlic that counterbalances the northern season.
From a family farm in the Cundinamarca highlands to one of the top 10 importers of Colombian fresh herbs in the United States — twenty-seven years, same farms, same family.
Where it started
In 1998, our family founded Plantar de Colombia SAS in Colombia. We were potato and vegetable farmers — small, hands-on, working the same soil our family had worked for generations.
Where it grew
2017 — We added fresh herbs to the rotation. Same hands, same standards, same soil discipline — applied to a crop the world was suddenly asking for.
2019 — We cut out the middlemen and started exporting directly to wholesalers in the United States. The product got fresher. The relationships got closer.
2022 — We opened From The South Investments LLC in Doral, FL— not as a separate company, but as the family's American address. Same standards, same protocols, same promise.
Where we are now
Plantar de Colombia is one of the top exporters of fresh herbs from Colombia to the United States.
A lot has grown in twenty-seven years. The acreage. The catalog. The map. The trucks. The market share.
What hasn't grown — what we don't let grow — is the distance between us and what we sell. We still walk the rows. We still know our growers by name. We still sign off on what leaves the warehouse.
One family owns both companies. The herbs travel from our highlands to our warehouse to your shelves without changing hands — and that's the whole point.
Fresh herbs from our farms to your kitchen.

Unlike brokers, we own every step — from growing to distributing. Full traceability, consistent quality, and faster delivery.
Fifty-plus hectares in the Cundinamarca highlands at 2,400 meters. Tropical sun by day, cool nights by altitude, the same family on the same farm since 1998.
Cut at sunrise, weighed and wrapped before noon, in cold storage by 1pm. Our facilities, our cold chain, our quality control — never a third-party packer.
Air freight from Bogotá direct to Miami. Forty-eight hours from harvest to Miami warehouse, cold chain unbroken.
Custom packing to every retailer, wholesaler and foodservice spec. Built in our Doral facility.
From our Doral hub to your shelf.
Since 1998
We do thingsRIGHT.
Since 1998, we've grown in the Colombian highlands — owning the land, the process, and every step to your shelf. This isn't a broker's catalog. It's an operation.
